Back, Temporarily
Oh geez, this semester has been busy busy busy. I kinda dropped off the face of the earth, sorry about that guys. I’m still busy though… T_T. I’m kinda taking somewhat of a break that I don’t know if I can actually afford, but whatever.
So many things have happened this semester, I really need to document it when I get the chance. It’s been pretty bad. I can honestly say I have not procrastinated at all, but still I’m super busy. Not even joking.
It’s mainly because of this one class called Complex Analysis. It’s listed as Math 6120, aka a first semester graduate course. I really really like it a lot, by far the most interesting class I’ve taken at Cornell so far. The problem lies in finding time to do the problem sets… I’m taking 24 credits this semester (should actually be 26, I’ll talk about that more some other time), but honestly my graduate class probably takes up about half my workload. I’ve only had 3 problem sets, but for all of them I’ve stayed up suuuper late to get it done. The first two I pulled all-nighters, and the last one I only stayed up until 6 am, for which I celebrated. The last one was not entirely my fault however, because the professor posted it late Sunday night, and I didn’t realize that we had a homework assignment until Wednesday (due Friday)… T_T.
For this next problem set, we get 2 weeks to do it, and supposedly its a long problem set… which, coming from the professor, is usually not a good sign. The sad thing is that I’m more worried about this single problem set than the 5 tests (prelims) I have in the next two weeks.
Coming to tests…. I can’t read problems to save my life, nor can I do arithmetic T_T. Though, nothing new there. It’s always so frustrating to know you should’ve gotten a perfect score if not for something so trivial. Hopefully I don’t lose too many points for it… One of them, I wrote out my algebraic expression correctly, but plugged in numbers incorrectly (forgot to invert), and the other I read the input signal to be a continuous pulse rather than a single square wave… fail at life.
There are a lot of other stories that I have yet to tell, I’ll get around to it eventually. Housing issues, Hong Kong AGAIN for spring break, fusion research coolness, my rant on ChemE fluid mechanics, etc etc. Man, I really need to get my act together. So tired these days…
Stay tuned!
